This lesson ends with a short workbook. Answer the prompts as you go. They save anonymously in your browser, no login or email needed. Since there's no account, the only durable copy is what you print or save yourself. Use the SAVE PROGRESS link in the nav above any time.

Business Baseline

Before the first lesson, this short intake asks where the business stands today: how much of your revenue is recurring, roughly what MRR range you operate in, how long you've been at it, and whether the last few years have been growth, a plateau, or a slide. It takes about five minutes, and every question is a range — no exact figures.

Every question is optional. Skip any of them — or all of them — and nothing downstream breaks. What you do answer is used for exactly one thing: a baseline Business Snapshot at the front of your final Marketing Plan, so the plan opens with where the business actually is before it describes what marketing will do next. It also lets the plan say whether your stated 12-month goal is in line with your own growth history or a genuine stretch.

This section is completely optional

Anything you enter here builds the Business Snapshot portion of your finalized Marketing Plan — which is kept with you, printed or saved to PDF, not saved on our end. Your answers stay in this browser only, so clearing your browser data removes them.

Roughly what share of your total revenue comes from managed services (recurring contracts), as opposed to break/fix, projects, and hardware resale?
Roughly what monthly recurring revenue (MRR) range is the business in?
Roughly what EBITDA margin does the business run at? (The most sensitive number here — feel free to skip it.)
How long has the business been operating?
In your best growth year so far, roughly how much did revenue grow?
Over the last three years, has revenue been growing, flat, or shrinking?
